June 18--Smokey the Bear from the U.S. Forestry Service! Bring your cameras for pictures.
June 25--Puppet show with Tex and Dot from the Texas Department of Transportation! Have fun and learn a little safety at the same time.
July 2--John Ferguson—Heroes for Health (4-H)
July 9—Professor QB! He’s a pirate and will do some magic tricks.
July 16—Dru Woods, professional storyteller and puppeteer! Lots of participation.
July 23—State Trooper(s) Sylvia Jennings and maybe more.
July 30—HS Fire Department! Come prepared to get wet—real wet.

Book Club for June will be on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30 pm to discuss Once Again by Deborah Heal. Refreshments and it is free! Books are available at the library.
The library tries to encourage our local authors by selling their books. Currently, we have books on sale by Avis McMullen, Ted Welch, Cookbooks from Young Mom's at FBC, the History of Hughes Springs Book 2 by the Seasame Club & books by James Henry "Jim" Davis! Come by and pick up a copy!!!

We now have FAX Service available! For local and 1-800 numbers, the cost is $1.00 per fax. That's per fax - not per page! For long distance numbers, the cost is $2.00 per fax!
From Dirt to Dinner
"From Dirt to Dinner" is the theme for the free checkout of heirloom vegetable seeds through the library. You may check out six packages of seeds that include planting instructions. This is your chance to give gardening a try with very little to no expense for you! This is a joint project with the Cass County Master Gardeners!

We serve a "Brown Bag" Lunch on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month! The cost if $5.00 and we will deliver to local businesses or you can pick up your order at the First Baptist Church CLC.
