Page Turners Book Club The next book will be at 10:30 on October 24 to discuss Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts. Books are available now at the library. There is also a schedule for the nest year available for you.

Gardening Class meets the third Thursday of each month at 2 pm. This is led by master gardener Tony Cates.
Preschool story time returns on Tuesday, September 3 at 10:30 and will continue each Tuesday. This will be led by Shannon Perez.
Book Club for Elementary Students 10:30 each Tuesday beginning on September 3rd. This will be led by Katie Luebbert. The group just finished James and the Giant Peach. The second book will be Charlotte's Web.

"From Dirt to Dinner" is the theme for the free checkout of heirloom vegetable seeds through the library. You may check out six packages of seeds that include planting instructions. This is your chance to give gardening a try with very little to no expense for you! This is a joint project with the Cass County Master Gardeners!
NEEDED: Indian Artifacts especially anything related to Hughes Springs and the Caddo Indians. The library will accept them as a gift or on loan to be a part of a museum display.
ALSO NEEDED: The library will accept any used games for Nintendo, X-box, Wii or other platforms. A new emphasis on attracting teens to the library is underway. Any games that are not being used at your house will be greatly accepted.

TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets at the library on Monday mornings. Weigh-in is at 9:30 and the meeting is at 10:00. There is a small charge for this meeting payable to TOPS.
STEM CLASSES Next STEM class will be on Tuesday, October 29 at 4:00 pm. STEM activities apply real world lessons from science, technology, engineering, and math often using predictions and then testing them out. In October the class will make pumpkin slime. Sounds ooey gooey and fun!!!
A monthly craft time will begin at the library on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm. The next craft time will be November 12.
